Air Force One Set for a Makeover in Trump's Signature Colors

Feb 18 2026

Reports confirm that Air Force One jets are undergoing a transformation to reflect the color preferences of former President Donald Trump.

The presidential and VIP fleet will soon don a striking red, white, and blue palette, with additional gold accents, as detailed by various sources. This shift signifies a departure from the iconic blue and white design established during John F. Kennedy's presidency in the 1960s.

Notably, the new aesthetic mirrors that of Trump’s personal aircraft, often dubbed “Trump Force One,” which features a navy body complemented by a bold red stripe.

An Air Force representative confirmed that this redesign will encompass not only Air Force One but also other aircraft within the executive fleet, including a luxury Boeing jet valued at $400 million, which was gifted to the U.S. by Qatar last year.

This Qatari jet, which faced bipartisan scrutiny upon its acceptance by the Trump administration, is anticipated to be operational for presidential use by summer.

The repainting initiative extends to smaller C-32 aircraft, utilized for transporting high-ranking U.S. officials such as the first lady, vice president, and cabinet members. Reports indicate that the first C-32 has already been repainted and is expected to be delivered shortly.

Trump's vision for Air Force One has been in the works since his initial term in office; however, plans for the new color scheme were halted during Joe Biden's presidency.

“Red, white and blue,” Trump stated in a 2018 interview. “Air Force One is going to be incredible. It’s gonna be the top of the line, the top in the world. And it’s gonna be red, white and blue, which I think is appropriate.”

The White House and Defense Department have been approached for comments regarding the potential financial implications for taxpayers stemming from these reported changes.
