Georgia Rapper Charged After Gruesome Dog Decapitation

Feb 19 2026

A Georgia rapper is in custody this week, facing multiple charges after allegedly decapitating a dog on his front porch, an act that has left the pet's owner heartbroken and demanding accountability.

Precious Cody, an Atlanta resident, reported her dog Bambi missing in late 2024 while she was detained for a week due to a court appearance issue. Upon her release, neighbors informed her that a man had taken her dog, claiming he knew the owner and would care for Bambi until she returned.

Bambi, a small white dog, was microchipped, leading Cody to believe the man would eventually take her to a veterinarian. Instead, Jalen Wade, 30, known by his stage name "Lil Drip," allegedly killed the dog last week and shared graphic images of the beheaded animal on social media, prompting numerous 911 calls.

Police arrived at Wade's residence after receiving the reports, where a standoff ensued for several hours before he was taken into custody on February 11. He now faces charges including aggravated animal cruelty, felony obstruction, and two counts of firearm possession during a felony.

Authorities discovered Bambi's head in a bowl on the porch next to a machete. Wade, who previously played football at Georgia State University, has not yet entered pleas regarding the charges against him, and details about his legal representation remain unclear.

Cody expressed her devastation upon learning from animal services that her beloved pet had been killed. "It’s heartbreaking because my dog was not vicious," she said tearfully. "If he couldn’t take care of her, he could’ve just taken her to animal control. She was sweet and just wanted to cuddle." Bambi was more than a pet; she was family.

While police have not disclosed a motive for Wade's actions, Cody mentioned that someone at animal control referenced "voodoo" during their conversation. "I don’t understand why anyone would do voodoo on a dog," she remarked, noting that she had never met Wade before this incident. "Bambi was like my child."

Cody plans to meet with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office to ensure that Wade faces justice for his actions. "All I want is justice for my dog," she stated emphatically.
