Piper Rockelle’s Grandmother Reveals Unexpected Take on Her OnlyFans Launch

Piper Rockelle's grandmother, Donna Healy Smith, has voiced her perspective on the influencer's recent foray into OnlyFans. In a segment of IMPACT x Nightline, which delved into Rockelle's YouTube fame, allegations against her mother, and her shift towards adult content, Smith addressed inquiries regarding her granddaughter's career change. “I just think it’s, like, the next thing,” she remarked about the subscription platform known for adult material. “I mean, you can’t be 18 and, like, doing pranks on people and dancing on TikTok forever.”

On January 1, after building anticipation throughout December, Rockelle launched her OnlyFans account, reportedly earning nearly $3 million within the first 24 hours. This decision sparked controversy, with many critics voicing concerns over her promotion of adult content to a young audience. In a January interview with PEOPLE, Rockelle acknowledged that her fanbase includes many younger viewers who expressed aspirations to join the Bop House—a collective of OnlyFans creators—after engaging with her content. However, she dismissed these messages, stating it’s “just the world that we live in.”

“I understand that it might be hard for some people to see someone who they’ve grown up with have so many different weird little lifestyles that they’ve had,” Rockelle explained in a January interview with Rolling Stone, addressing her critics. “But I’m not going to be a kid forever.”

Rockelle has also made it a priority to support Smith financially through her earnings. Her first significant purchase post-OnlyFans was a car for her grandmother, and she shared a video in December where she offered Smith enough money to retire. “I’m not going to fight with her,” Smith stated during the Nightline episode, referring to the financial assistance from Rockelle. “I’m very proud of the decision she made,” she added. “It is a lot of money, and I’m happy for her. She deserves it. And she’s not doing anything terribly wrong.”
