Following the polarizing All-American Halftime Show at the 2026 Super Bowl, Turning Point USA is gearing up for another round. The organization, which has stirred significant debate, is set to replicate its approach for the upcoming Super Bowl.
“We consider the 2026 show a tremendous success,” stated TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet. During a February 8 segment on Fox News’ One Nation with Brian Kilmeade, he expressed enthusiasm about the future. “This is a shot across the bow. People are paying attention. Give us a year to plan, and I’m eager to see what we can achieve.”
Kolvet emphasized the importance of their mission, saying, “We gotta do it for the country. This was a massive success, and we’re thankful for the opportunity.”
While final viewership numbers are pending, Kolvet mentioned that the show reportedly garnered over 20 million views on social media platforms, with expectations to double that figure to between 40 and 50 million.
The alternative halftime show was first announced in October 2025, coinciding with the NFL's selection of Bad Bunny as its halftime performer. This decision faced backlash from conservative circles due to the artist's Spanish lyrics and past criticisms of former President Donald Trump.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell defended Bad Bunny, labeling him “one of the great artists in the world.” He elaborated during a February 2 press conference, stating, “This platform is meant to unite people through creativity and talent. Artists have historically used this moment to bring people together, and I believe Bad Bunny will deliver a remarkable performance.”
Kolvet noted that the All-American Halftime Show featured artists like Kid Rock and Brantley Gilbert, aligning with TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk’s vision. Kirk, who tragically passed away in September 2025, aimed to elevate American ideals through such performances.
“He wanted to uplift our country’s best ideals rather than settle for mediocrity,” Kolvet remarked. “His goal was to inspire and elevate.”
After Kirk's death, his widow Erika Kirk stepped into the role of TPUSA CEO. Although she did not participate in the halftime show, she expressed that her late husband would have been thrilled by it. “Charlie always wanted to be at the forefront of the culture war,” Erika said in a Fox News interview on February 4. “He would be fist-pumping at this. What better way to honor him than to engage directly and provide an alternative for families?”
Erika further elaborated on TPUSA’s mission: “What’s beautiful about Turning Point USA is that it’s holistic and caters to every age group. We aim to offer a pro-America alternative that resonates with a broader audience than what’s currently available.”
