Elle Fanning Unveils OnlyFans Account Creation for Role Preparation

Elle Fanning took an unconventional approach to prepare for her role in "Margo's Got Money Troubles."

At the SXSW Film & TV Festival premiere on March 12, the 27-year-old actress disclosed that she established an OnlyFans account to immerse herself in the character of Margot Millet.

“There were a lot of things,” Fanning explained, detailing her preparation process.

“I’m already familiar with Instagram and TikTok, but we had to explore OnlyFans a bit. We created an account for the writer's room and for me to understand how the platform works,” she added.

The series, adapted from Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel, follows Margo as she navigates financial struggles after leaving college to care for her newborn.

In her journey, Margo seeks support from her mother, Shaynne Millet (played by Michelle Pfeiffer), a former Hooter's waitress, and her father, Jinx Millet (Nick Offerman), a retired professional wrestler.

“Despite facing hardships, she always finds a way to overcome them,” Fanning reflected on her character. “Playing her was truly inspiring; the world we created is specific yet fun.”
