Frightening Mutant Dog-Bots with Elon Musk and Zuckerberg Heads Descend on Silicon Valley

In a striking display, a series of unsettling dog-like robots, one bearing the artificial visage of Elon Musk, have made their debut at NODE, a digital art center in Palo Alto.

Earlier this month, these peculiar androids were seen darting through the streets of San Francisco, capturing the attention of passersby.

NODE proudly showcases the bot, which features four legs and a Musk head devoid of expression. A video circulating online depicts the tan-hued robot trotting around and waving at onlookers.

“NODE is a home for artists defining digital culture today. Beeple’s Regular Animals are a physical embodiment of that culture, and we’re proud to bring a piece of it here to Silicon Valley,” stated a representative from NODE.

They further explained, “Sending Elon into the streets is a way to bring that energy into public life ahead of the exhibition opening. The reaction has been exactly what Beeple’s work does so well: it stops people in their tracks and gets them talking.”

The Musk-headed robot is part of the “INFINITE_LOOP.” event, which NODE describes as “a mid-career survey of the work of Mike Winkelmann, known globally as Beeple.”

“INFINITE_LOOP asks what happens when repetition becomes a kind of infinity,” NODE elaborated. “The exhibition extends this principle beyond the artist himself, inviting visitors to exhibit their own digital artworks alongside the main installation, blurring the line between spectator and creator.”

The exhibition also features a robot resembling Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Creators have announced plans to keep these robots operational for three years before they “die,” preserving their “memories” in the process.

“Regular Animals reinterprets the legacy of pop portraiture, sculpture, and generative art through the lens of technology,” NODE explained.

“Each robotic humanoid is not a static object but a fluid digital canvas — its memories captured, reimagined, and preserved on the blockchain. After three years — twenty-one ‘dog years’ — each robot will ‘die,’ with all memories from its life preserved forever on-chain.”

It remains uncertain whether Musk has given his consent for his likeness to be used in this artistic endeavor. Beeple previously showcased similar robots at an event in Miami late last year.
