Gutfeld Proposes Controversial Jewish Super Bowl Halftime Show Featuring 'Live Circumcision'

During a recent episode of The Five, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld stirred controversy by proposing a Jewish-themed Super Bowl halftime show that would culminate in a “live circumcision.”

This outburst came as Gutfeld criticized Bad Bunny’s performance at Super Bowl 60, which he dismissed while adopting a mock Spanish accent. The performance, celebrated for its representation of Latin culture, attracted an audience of approximately 135 million viewers.

Featuring prominent Puerto Rican artists like Cardi B and Ricky Martin, along with actor Pedro Pascal, Bad Bunny's show was a vibrant display of cultural pride. Gutfeld, however, expressed his discontent, stating, “As a proud Latina, I don’t care for it,” and deriding the music as “mediocre.”

In a bizarre twist, he suggested an alternative halftime spectacle that would include a “live circumcision at the 50-yard line.” Gutfeld claimed there are about 6 million Jewish-themed Puerto Rican citizens in the U.S., which he argued warranted a Jewish halftime show.

“Where is the Jewish halftime?” he exclaimed, launching into a series of stereotypes about Jewish Americans. “Where are the dancing accountants? The men slinging pastrami, the Jewish mothers telling you to get a sweater on?”

He continued with his provocative idea, adding, “And then you cap it off with a live circumcision right at the 50-yard line,” before making a questionable joke about insurance claims.

Gutfeld also critiqued a segment of Bad Bunny's performance that referenced Hurricane Maria's aftermath, questioning its significance. “This thing, I didn’t understand; is this our fault? Is this the United States’ fault that you didn’t get power?” he pondered.

Bad Bunny made history as the first artist to perform entirely in Spanish during a Super Bowl halftime show, delivering only one line in English: “God bless America.” His dancers showcased flags from various countries across the Americas.

Despite the performance's unifying message and positive reviews, it faced backlash from some MAGA Republicans. Former President Trump labeled it “absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” on Truth Social.

Influencer Jake Paul called for a boycott of the show, labeling Bad Bunny a “fake American citizen,” despite his Puerto Rican heritage. “Purposefully turning off the halftime show,” he wrote on X. “Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences.”

Paul’s sentiments were echoed by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong, who expressed her disapproval by posting an image of herself crying over Russell Crowe’s character from Gladiator. “Were you entertained?” she questioned on Instagram. “I am embarrassed for the @NFL and Apple for the Super Bowl halftime show totally in Spanish with a Cuban flag.”
