Jimmy Kimmel Poses a Disturbing Query to Ted Cruz Following His Trump Adulation
On Wednesday night, Jimmy Kimmel took aim at right-wing media personalities and MAGA politicians, lampooning their exaggerated admiration for President Donald Trump’s recent State of the Union address.
“This is the stark contrast between Trump supporters and everyone else,” Kimmel remarked. “The worse Trump performs, the more MAGA-land scrambles to stroke his little pumpkinets.”
During the segment, Kimmel showcased a montage featuring various Republican figures. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) described the speech as “masterful,” while Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) labeled it “by far the best one.” MyPillow founder and conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell went so far as to call it “epic.”
Among those featured was Kimmel's long-time adversary, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who referred to the address as a “majestic speech,” prompting laughter from the host.
“He still doesn’t like you, Ted,” Kimmel quipped amid his laughter. “Forget it. He’s never going to like you. No one does.”
Trump’s past treatment of Cruz during the 2016 campaign was brutal, often veering into personal attacks. He mocked Cruz’s wife, Heidi, and insinuated that Cruz’s father had connections to the JFK assassination.
Despite this history, Cruz has remained a fervent supporter of Trump.
Kimmel provocatively wondered aloud, “I wonder if when Ted Cruz goes home at night, he looks in the mirror and throws up.”
