As he took center stage, the audience erupted in applause, witnessing Offset rise from his wheelchair to deliver a powerful setlist. The 34-year-old artist moved with surprising agility, walking around and even jumping, much to the delight of his fans.

In a series of photos, Offset posed confidently in a striking red long-sleeve top paired with black sweatpants, accessorized with a skeleton face mask and hat. His Instagram post radiated positivity, captioned simply with “REAL LOVE ❤️.”

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot on April 6 while in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Following the incident, his representative confirmed that he was transported to a local hospital and was in stable condition.

According to Seminole County police, the shooting stemmed from an altercation that was quickly contained. In a twist of events, fellow artist Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with disorderly conduct-affray.

Tjay’s attorney, Dawn Florio, vehemently denied any involvement in the shooting. “We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting … which [resulted] in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset,” she stated. “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has he been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false.”

The day after the shooting, Offset was seen outside the hospital smoking a cigarette alongside his mother, Latabia Woodwar. He later took to Instagram again to express gratitude to those who reached out following the incident.

“I’m good … but I’m planning to be better,” he wrote. “I’m focused on my family, my recovery and getting back to the music … realizing that life is made of quiet wins and loud losses.”

Offset concluded his message with a reflection on life’s unpredictability, stating that despite the challenges he faces, he is “still playing to win.”
