Anthony Michael Hall Celebrates Fatherhood at 55, Calls Wife His ‘Soulmate’

Anthony Michael Hall, now 58, became a father at 55 in 2023, declaring his wife Lucia Oskerova his “soulmate” and expressing unfiltered joy about their new life as parents.

“Fatherhood and being a husband—that’s absolutely the greatest role,” Hall stated in an interview. He described parenting as a full-time job but emphasized the joy it brings. “We just embrace it, and our son is such a joy.”

The “Breakfast Club” star shared that they enrolled their son, Michael Anthony Hall II, in preschool about six months ago. “He’s doing great. He’s eating so much— I mean, this kid is like a little giant. He looks like he’s 5 years old already,” he said, highlighting the rapid growth of their child.

Hall and Oskerova welcomed their son on June 1, 2023. Reflecting on the early days of parenthood, he remarked, “That first month of parenting is pretty wild. It’s the craziest time, but it’s the best time.”

“Everything that everybody tells you is pretty true: you lose sleep,” he added, referring to his then 1-month-old son as a “big boy.”

“I couldn’t be happier [now],” Hall exclaimed. “Here I am at 55, and I’m fully committed. I’m excited. My wife and I are really into parenting and diving in.”

The couple announced Oskerova’s pregnancy in February when she was nearly seven months along. Hall documented the journey on Instagram, expressing pride in his partner.

Hall and Oskerova began their relationship in 2016. The “Sixteen Candles” star proposed three years later while vacationing in Italy. They tied the knot in 2020 and renewed their vows in 2023 after pandemic-related disruptions to their wedding plans.

“It’s incredible,” Hall concluded about their parenting experience.
