Cara Delevingne has officially joined the ranks of Playboy, gracing the summer issue in a provocative black latex corset by Atsuko Kudo, priced at $1,979.
The cover shot captures Delevingne holding a lit match to a cigarette in her mouth while using one hand to cover her genitalia, pushing boundaries with a look that’s undeniably hot.
Notably, Delevingne makes history as the first out lesbian to appear on the print cover of Playboy, marking a significant moment for representation in the publication.
In a nod to tradition, she donned the brand’s iconic Bunny suit corset complete with matching tail and ears, a first since Kate Moss wore it in 2014.
The magazine teased the cover on social media with a tantalizing image of a soapy torso adorned with tattoos, hinting at Delevingne's identity for those in the know.
“Tomorrow, get your hands on our Summer 2026 cover star,” the caption proclaimed, building anticipation for the reveal.
In 2023, Delevingne announced plans to remove several tattoos after achieving sobriety, yet this shoot confirms she retains many pieces of sentimental ink.
New York Times best-selling author Ottessa Moshfegh engaged Delevingne in conversation, highlighting her collaboration with a predominantly female team for the cover shoot. This approach allowed her to reclaim agency over her body while embracing her nude image.
Delevingne remarked on Playboy’s traditional heterosexual image, stating, “That’s why it felt like a bit of a f–k-you and a rebellious thing to do.” She expressed excitement about working with a queer, female-led creative team.
The shoot was captured by photographer Zoey Grossman and styled by Lana Jay Lackey.
Reflecting on her past experiences, Delevingne shared, “I’ve been naked before in shoots, in movies. But it always made me feel a bit gross when it was for someone else.”
She added, “I’ve never felt more comfortable in my body and in my sexuality. I feel like I’m in more of my prime as a woman and as a sexual being.”
