Country Star Slams Trump, Calls Him a "Fugly Slut" on Instagram
Natalie Maines, the outspoken frontwoman of The Chicks, is back in the political crossfire.
On Monday, she unleashed a scathing attack on former President Donald Trump via Instagram, branding him a “fugly slut” and sparking a social media firestorm.

“Our democracy is disappearing right before our eyes,” Maines declared. “This fugly slut is using your gas money to pay the insurrectionists. But don’t worry about it. I’m sure posting selfies will fix everything. My last post that called him a fugly slut got removed. We’ll see how long this one lasts. Repost and help the message live.”
To drive her point home, she shared harrowing images from the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, where a mob fueled by Trump’s rhetoric stormed the building.

Concerns are swirling that Trump might tap into his Justice Department’s $1.8 billion so-called Anti-Weaponization Fund to financially support those convicted for their roles in the Capitol chaos.
After a hiatus from this particular Instagram account, Maines has returned with a vengeance.

Her previous lengthy tirade against Trump dates back to January 6, 2021, when she posted, “This mentally diseased baby man racist is in control of the red button at this very moment. He needs to go. It’s enough! You’re fired! Go away. Leave us alone.”
But Trump isn’t the only Republican president to feel her wrath.

Back in 2003, Maines took aim at George W. Bush during a concert in London, igniting a backlash that saw radio stations blacklisting their music and The Chicks fading from the charts.
The Chicks, who have racked up 13 Grammy Awards, were formerly known as the Dixie Chicks but rebranded in 2020 to distance themselves from the Confederacy's legacy.
