Cruz Beckham's declaration that being a Beckham has shaped him into the best version of himself comes amid a family feud that has escalated tensions within the clan.
In the shadow of his brother Brooklyn's estrangement, Cruz expresses gratitude for the unwavering support from David and Victoria Beckham. He credits their guidance as pivotal in his journey toward launching his debut EP, Wear & Tear, set for release on August 21.

“They’ve taught me throughout the years to just work on your craft and hone-in and make sure you’re the best version of yourself at what you’re doing,” Cruz stated, emphasizing the importance of their influence on his confidence to perform.
He elaborated, “If they didn’t teach me that, I don’t think I’d be able to get up on stage and play guitar and be confident enough to show what I’ve been working at for a long time.”
The backdrop of this familial support contrasts sharply with Brooklyn's accusations against their parents, claiming controlling behavior and interference in his wedding plans. This rift has cast a shadow over the family's public image.

Cruz remains steadfast in his admiration for his mother, Victoria, who brings a wealth of musical experience to the table. He shared insights from their conversations, stating, “She’s just like, ‘Well, you’re going to do it anyway, so make sure you do it the best of your ability.”
His trust in her opinion is evident as he acknowledges her extensive performance history. “I understand that she’s definitely played for a ridiculous amount of people, so I trust her opinion a lot, heavily,” he added.

In addition to parental guidance, Cruz finds support in his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, a Brazilian-German singer-songwriter who encourages his musical endeavors. He expressed excitement about sharing his work with the world, stating, “I’m just excited to be able to put a body of work out.”
With anticipation building for his upcoming performances at UK festivals Reading and Leeds, along with Rock’N’Roll Circus next month, Cruz is ready to step into the spotlight.
“I can’t wait to actually give everybody more than just one or two songs,” he concluded.
