“Daily Show” Stirs the Pot with Provocative Question After Massie’s Defeat

“Daily Show” correspondent Ronny Chieng didn’t hold back after Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-Ky.) crushing defeat to a Trump-backed candidate on Tuesday. He launched straight into the chaos, asking voters a question that cut deep.

“Once again, the big story is Donald Trump absolutely stomping on disloyal Republicans like Godzilla with slightly thicker ankles,” Chieng quipped, before rolling a clip from MS NOW announcing Massie’s electoral demise.

“Yeah, that’ll teach you to try to expose pedophiles,” he added with biting sarcasm. “What is going on here? Releasing the Epstein Files didn’t put anyone in prison. The guy who got the Epstein Files released got voted out. And meanwhile, the Michael Jackson movie made $300 million.”

Then came the kicker—Chieng posed a question that left jaws on the floor.

“Is America pro-pedophile now?” he asked, throwing shade at the political landscape. “Jeffrey (Epstein), you killed yourself too early! The tides were turning.”

Trump had been gunning for Massie ever since he and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) pushed for the release of those infamous Epstein Files. The former president didn’t shy away from celebrating Massie’s downfall during the annual congressional picnic at the White House.

“We won the Massie thing,” Trump was heard exclaiming. “He was a bad guy. He deserves to lose.”

As for Massie, he took the loss in stride, unfazed by the political storm.

“We’re just getting started,” he said confidently. “I like that.”
