David Harbour Slams Ex-Wife Lily Allen’s Cheating Claims in Scathing Album

David Harbour is not taking lightly the accusations from his ex-wife, Lily Allen, who claims he cheated on her in her 2025 studio album, "West End Girl."

“It was weird,” the "Stranger Things" star bluntly stated in an interview with Variety.

He acknowledged the right of artists to draw from their experiences, saying, “I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art, and so I respect her for doing that.”

When pressed about denying the allegations, Harbour, 51, remarked, “Stories are complex.”

He continued, “And that’s why I say I respect her creation of art to channel her experience. It wasn’t my experience,” emphasizing that his own method of transforming life into art is through acting.

Harbour is gearing up for his role in the HBO series "DTF St. Louis," where he plays ASL interpreter Floyd Smernitch, a character that demanded a significant physical transformation and the use of a prosthetic belly.

He refused to delve deeper into the cheating allegations, stating, “I can’t really say that much more.”

“It’s my private life,” he added. “In spite of the fact that a lot of people don’t allow me a private life — I value it.”

Harbour concluded, “And I also value the lives of the people that I interact with privately. I just won’t speak about that.”

A representative for Allen, 41, was not available for comment.

In February 2025, news broke that Allen and Harbour ended their four-year marriage, with Allen hinting at their relationship's collapse in her album released that October.

On the track “Dallas Major,” she suggested that the "Black Widow" star was a “sex addict” and sang about being in an “open” relationship when he “went astray.”

In another track titled “P–sy Palace,” Allen accused Harbour of leading a “double life,” claiming she discovered his stash of lube, sex toys, and condoms.

She also alleged to have found a receipt from Bergdorf Goodman in the song “4chan Stan,” singing, “You took someone shopping there in May 24 / You bought her a handbag, it wasn’t cheap / I was in London, probably asleep.”

Allen officially filed for divorce in September and later discussed her album with Perfect Magazine, stating, “There are definitely some things that happened in my real life that are reflected on this record.”

“Two people who were once together are not together. And that’s really sad. It’s hard. It’s hard for me to not have my person, you know?”
