Dick Van Dyke, 100, Struggles with Walker During Outing with 54-Year-Old Wife
Dick Van Dyke, at the age of 100, was seen struggling with a walker while out with his wife, Arlene Silver, who is 54 years old.

Photos captured the couple during a stroll in Los Angeles, where they made a stop at Starbucks for refreshments.
For this rare public appearance, Van Dyke donned dark blue sweatpants paired with a white collared shirt. Silver opted for a black, off-the-shoulder graphic shirt and black pants.

At one point, Silver had to assist her husband as he transitioned from their car to the walker.
The last time they were seen together was in April at the opening of Malibu Urgent Care. During that event, the Disney icon was spotted dancing and engaging in cheerful conversation.

While attending the event, Van Dyke used a cane while seated next to renowned musician Herb Alpert. Silver was also present for that outing.

The couple married in 2012. Van Dyke has credited makeup artists for helping him maintain a youthful appearance.
In an interview with “Good Morning America” last December, he expressed his deep affection for Silver, stating, “I met Arlene in 2006 and she quickly became my soulmate and the love of my life.”

He emphasized that their ongoing romance is crucial to his vitality, saying it prevents him from becoming a “hermetic grouch.”
Van Dyke remarked that despite their age difference, Silver makes him feel “somewhere between two thirds and three quarters [his] age.”

During the same interview, the six-time Emmy winner shared his perspective on death as he reached his milestone birthday. He stated that he isn’t “afraid” of death.
According to Van Dyke, many fear death because they believe the dying person is “aware” of what’s happening. He clarified, “Death doesn’t really frighten me,” adding, “although I’d like a lot more life!”
