DoorDash Suspends Driver After Controversial Video Targeting Trump Supporters

A DoorDash driver has been suspended following a TikTok video in which he threatened to toss meals ordered by Trump supporters from his vehicle. The incident has sparked significant online backlash.

“Hey there to my Trump supporters, this is your local friendly DoorDasher,” the driver stated in a video uploaded on March 13. He continued with a provocative message: “If I see a MAGA sign out front of your house, I'm going to take the utmost care to make sure that when I deliver your order, I throw it out the f****** window.”

Identifying himself as a Tarot card reader, the user peppered his remarks with additional expletives, further inflaming the situation. The video caught the attention of a MAGA-aligned account on X, which reposted the clip with the caption: “Make him famous, because he clearly can’t separate his personal views from his job.”

The repost quickly gained traction, amassing over half a million views and eliciting thousands of comments, including a response from DoorDash. “We’ve suspended his account while we investigate,” the company stated. “Any Dasher who throws food out the window would immediately lose access to the platform.”

In a follow-up video posted Saturday, the driver claimed that DoorDash had barred him from making deliveries, although it remains unclear in which state he was operating. Despite the suspension, he appeared unfazed, calling the situation “hilarious” and expressing gratitude: “Y’all made my day.” He also accused DoorDash of supporting MAGA and encouraged viewers to avoid using their services.

Based in San Francisco, DoorDash ranks among the largest food delivery services in the United States, with a market capitalization nearing $63 billion. Earlier this month, the company announced it employs over 8 million Dashers capable of reaching nearly any location across the U.S.
