Ed Kelce expressed his overwhelming enthusiasm for his son Travis Kelce’s wedding to Taylor Swift in a recent interview, declaring he is “super excited.”

The 74-year-old described Swift as “a sweetheart that is truly the girl next door,” showcasing his admiration for the pop star.

He compared her to his other son Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie Kelce, who has been married to Jason for eight years.

Jason, aged 38, and Kylie, aged 34, exchanged vows in Philadelphia back in April 2018.

Travis and Swift are gearing up for their wedding in New York City over the July 3 weekend after nearly three years of dating.

The nuptials are set to unfold at Madison Square Garden, a venue that will see street closures due to the event, as indicated by a permit filed by Winick Productions.

Insiders revealed that trucks will likely utilize 33rd St. for loading and unloading during the ceremony.

Additionally, some of Travis’ teammates have reportedly made reservations at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown around the wedding date.

The couple got engaged in August 2025 when Kelce proposed after Swift made her podcast debut on the “New Heights” show hosted by him and Jason.

Post-engagement, Swift humorously told her Instagram followers, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”

Family members of both Travis and Swift have kept mostly quiet about the high-profile wedding plans.

Kylie even vented her frustration about constant inquiries regarding her brother-in-law’s wedding, stating people needed to “quit asking.”

“Nobody’s f–king telling you anything,” the “Not Gonna Lie” host remarked during a podcast episode in April.

When pressed by Savannah Guthrie during a January appearance on the “Today” show, Kylie simply stated she was “excited to celebrate.”
