Gayle King, 71, Unleashes Jaw-Dropping Confessions About Her Fetishes and Dating Preferences
Size matters, and Gayle King isn’t shy about it. The “CBS Mornings” anchor laid bare her preference for larger men during an interview on Alex Cooper's “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“I like big, Alex, in every way,” the 71-year-old declared when asked about surprising interests. She elaborated, “You can take with that big hands, big chest, big muscles, big feet. Do with that what you will.”
King made it clear that humor is a major turn-on. She stated her “panties come off” for a “guy with a sense of humor. Somebody that can make you laugh.”

She also laid down her first date dealbreakers, which include smoking. King expressed a preference for younger men, stating she wants “somebody that can pick me up and carry me across the room. And doesn’t go, ‘Oh, my back. I want that.’”
“Guys my age, they tend to be a little boring,” she remarked. “You can’t generalize, but that has been my experience so far.”

The TV star shared her ideal date night as well. “I love a good restaurant,” she said. “I love a movie. I like a restaurant, movie, then we can talk about the movie. I love that.”

In a shocking twist, King recounted the moment she caught her then-husband, William Bumpus, cheating with a close friend. “I came home and caught him,” she revealed about Bumpus, whom she was married to from 1982 to 1993.
She confronted the other woman, who was wrapped in a towel, exclaiming, “I thought we were friends!” King described the moment as sounding “so pitiful.”

Bumpus quickly issued an apology for his infidelity. “My deepest apologies to Gayle, to our daughter Kirby and her husband, Virgil, to our son William and his wife, Elise, and to our three grandchildren, for the pain I caused decades ago,” he stated.
“Those actions were mine,” he added. Bumpus acknowledged that King “has every right to share what was a painful chapter that changed the trajectory of our marriage and our family nearly 40 years ago” and expressed respect for her right to tell her story.

He also expressed gratitude to King for giving him “two of the greatest gifts of [his] life” — their grown daughter Kirby and son Will.
Bumpus apologized again for the incident that led to their divorce back in 2016.
