Haliey Welch's Bold Shift: From Crypto Controversy to Adult Content

Feb 21 2026

Haliey Welch is making headlines again, but this time it’s not for her viral “hawk tuah” interview. Instead, she’s stirring the pot with a surprising career shift.

On February 18, a post on X showcased Welch in a striking cheetah-print bikini, complete with a subscription link. This image quickly gained traction, amassing over 9.4 million views. The accompanying caption raised eyebrows: "A year ago the 'Hawk Tuah Girl' was tied to a crypto scam that extracted millions from people. Now she's online again promoting adult content. What happened?"

Danielle Lanza, known as Dan Dangler, didn’t hold back her thoughts on the matter. She reshared the post with a sharp remark: "I thought she would never do 🌽? I suppose when life hits the fan you gotta keep making $ somehow 😂." This comment harkened back to Welch’s previous declarations against joining OnlyFans, where she firmly stated, "Stop asking me for the link in bio for my OnlyFans. I don't have an OnlyFans and there will never be an OnlyFans."

That was before the cryptocurrency crash that rocked her world. In December 2024, Welch launched the $HAWK token on the Solana blockchain, which initially soared to a market cap of nearly $500 million. However, it plummeted over 90 percent shortly after, leading to a class-action lawsuit and federal investigations.

Reports indicate that the FBI even visited her grandmother's home during their inquiry. By May 2025, Welch disclosed on her podcast, Talk Tuah, that both the FBI and SEC had cleared her of wrongdoing. "I trusted the wrong people," she admitted to co-host Chelsea Bradford.

Now, Welch has transitioned to Fanfix, a subscription platform that restricts explicit content. She has been actively sharing bikini photos and suggestive content on her Instagram stories, linking to her new venture with subscription packages starting at $15 per month.

For Lanza, who boasts over two million followers on Instagram, this commentary aligns perfectly with her brand. Earlier this month, she responded to former OnlyFans creator Nala Ray’s dismissal of adult content as "not real work," stating on X, "Funny how some people only call it 'not real work' after they cashed their checks 🤔."
