Hillary Clinton Faces Intense Interrogation Over Epstein, UFOs, and 'Pizzagate'

During a deposition on Thursday, Hillary Clinton confronted lawmakers regarding their subpoena for her testimony about Jeffrey Epstein, labeling it a diversion from President Donald Trump’s connections to the convicted sex offender.

In a statement shared online, Clinton asserted she had no knowledge of Epstein’s illicit activities and could not recall any encounters with him.

“This is a tactic to distract from President Trump’s actions,” Clinton claimed, accusing Republicans of pursuing her testimony “fully aware that I have no knowledge that would assist your investigation.”

Trump, like former President Bill Clinton, had social ties with Epstein, whose name appears in various Justice Department documents. Recently, Democrats highlighted missing FBI files that allegedly contain accusations against Trump, raising concerns about transparency.

Despite lacking direct ties to Epstein, Clinton endured extensive questioning from the House Oversight Committee, which she described as repetitive and at times absurd.

“I don’t know how many times I had to say I did not know Jeffrey Epstein. I never went to his island, I never went to his home, I never went to his offices,” she told reporters after the session.

As the questioning progressed, Clinton noted the bizarre shift in topics, stating, “It then got quite unusual, because I started being asked about UFOs and a series of questions about ‘Pizzagate,’ one of the most vile, bogus conspiracy theories that was propagated on the internet.”

The 'Pizzagate' conspiracy theory falsely alleged that high-ranking Democratic officials operated a child trafficking ring from a pizza restaurant in Washington, D.C., echoing some of the real-life crimes associated with Epstein.

Lawmakers from the Oversight Committee traveled to New York for depositions with both Clintons. Committee chair James Comer (R-Ky.) anticipated a lengthy session with Hillary and expected her husband’s deposition to be “even longer.”

Post-hearing, Comer remarked that Clinton had addressed most questions and deemed the meeting “productive,” hinting at a potential video release within 24 hours.

At one point during the deposition, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) violated committee rules by sending photos of Clinton testifying to right-wing influencer Benny Johnson. “We had a bit of a challenge in the beginning,” Clinton noted, expressing her frustration over the breach of protocol.

The Clintons expressed a preference for public testimony; however, Comer insisted on closed-door sessions, suggesting a public hearing could follow later. Clinton reiterated her reluctance to repeat the process.

Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) stated that Clinton had effectively demonstrated her lack of connection to Epstein and urged the committee to focus on the Trump administration’s withholding of potentially damaging FBI files regarding Trump’s alleged misconduct involving minors in the early 1980s.

“These are files that accuse the President of the United States about serious accusations around sexual abuse,” Garcia emphasized, calling for Attorney General Pam Bondi to release those documents immediately.

The Justice Department announced it was “currently reviewing” additional documents for release, while Comer confirmed that Republican members were also investigating the matter.

Garcia further criticized the subpoenas issued to the Clintons as setting a troubling precedent for questioning former presidents and suggested that Republicans should also demand Trump’s testimony.

The Oversight Committee approved subpoenas for both Clintons alongside a request for the Trump administration to provide its investigative files on Epstein, who died in 2019 while facing federal sex trafficking charges.

The votes were bipartisan; when the Clintons initially resisted depositions, Democrats joined Republicans in advancing a contempt resolution that could have led to criminal charges.

“We’re not accusing Hillary Clinton of wrongdoing,” Comer clarified before the hearing. “We know that Jeffrey Epstein said many times in emails that he was the first person to raise money for the Clinton Initiative.”

One question Comer posed was why Ghislaine Maxwell attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in 2010. Afterward, a reporter asked Hillary about it.

“She came as the plus one, the guest of someone who was invited,” Clinton replied succinctly.
