Trump Administration Sends Strong Message to Illegal Migrants with Valentine's Day Card

Feb 14 2025

President Trump and his administration are not holding back this Valentine's Day, especially when it comes to illegal migrants.

The White House recently shared a Valentine's Day card on X Friday, showcasing Trump and his border czar Tom Homan with a bold message that reads, "Roses are red, violets are blue, come here illegally, and we'll deport you."

The seemingly sweet pink heart-covered card is far from a typical Valentine's sentiment, as it reflects Trump's unwavering stance on illegal immigration amidst his aggressive deportation strategies and border security measures.

Under Trump's directives, ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and agents from various federal agencies have been conducting targeted raids to apprehend illegal migrants, focusing on removing individuals deemed as "the worst of the worst" nationwide.

Within the initial 18 days of these intensified efforts, federal authorities managed to make a staggering 11,000 arrests of individuals who were at large. This figure already represents a significant portion of the total arrests made by the agency throughout the previous year under the administration of former President Joe Biden, as per internal data disclosed to The Post.

Due to the surge in arrests, ICE detention facilities have reached full capacity, prompting the administration to seek additional space to accommodate the influx of detainees. Consequently, numerous illegal migrants have been relocated to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to alleviate the overcrowding.

Trump's stringent policies have led to a substantial decline in illegal border crossings, marking some of the lowest levels observed in decades. These measures include terminating the "catch and release" policy implemented by the Biden administration and deploying thousands of extra troops, as indicated by leaked data acquired by The Post.

Moreover, Trump's administration successfully pressured Mexico into deploying 10,000 soldiers to reinforce security along its border following threats of imposing a substantial 25% tariff.

As a result of these collective efforts, Border Patrol agents are now apprehending an average of 359 illegal migrants daily across the entire southern border, representing a remarkable reduction of over 90% compared to February 2024.

If this downward trend persists, the United States is poised to witness the lowest monthly border crossings in over 25 years, potentially reaching levels not seen in nearly six decades.

A Border Patrol insider recently shared with The Post that the recent changes have already begun to convey a clear message that the border will no longer be easily breached, emphasizing the administration's commitment to national security.
