Inside Karoline Leavitt's Extravagant Baby Shower: Fans Can't Stop Asking the Same Question

Mar 23 2026

Karoline Leavitt, 28, recently shared the joyous news of her second pregnancy, offering a peek into her life through vibrant social media snapshots.

In a stunning floral pink maxi dress, she showcased her growing baby bump, surrounded by friends and family during her lavish baby shower. However, the celebration quickly turned into a topic of discussion as followers fixated on one glaring detail—her husband’s absence.

Comments flooded in, with some users questioning the couple’s significant age difference. One user provocatively asked, “Where’s her granddaddy husband?” while another quipped, "Her old homeless baby daddy get kicked out yet?" These remarks seemed to echo sentiments regarding the 30-year gap between Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio. Adding to the intrigue, she hinted at 'regrets' in a cryptic Instagram post.

This isn’t the first time Nicholas’s absence has raised eyebrows. He was also missing from Leavitt’s first baby shower prior to their son’s birth in July 2024, which attracted similar scrutiny.

In December, Leavitt announced she was expecting another child with Riccio, yet she has consistently defended his low-profile lifestyle.

“He’s not on social media. He’s very private, and he’s an extremely hands-on father,” Leavitt stated in an interview with Megyn Kelly. “He and my son are the best of friends. He’s my greatest supporter, my best friend, my rock. He’s my number one fan, the best dad, and just the best man I’ve ever met.”

The couple already shares a son born in July 2024 and recently revealed they are expecting a baby girl in May 2026 through a festive social media announcement.

Leavitt expressed her excitement, stating: “The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for - a baby girl coming in May 2026,” adding that she and her husband are eager to see their son step into the role of big brother. “My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth.”

Balancing motherhood with her high-profile role has not been without its challenges. Leavitt returned to work just days after giving birth to her first child.

Reflecting on that moment, she recalled: “I had just brought my newborn, my three-day-old baby home from the hospital,” as Trump faced scrutiny on live television. “I looked at my husband and said, ‘Looks like I’m going back to work,’” she remarked.

“I felt compelled to be present in this historic moment. The president literally put his life on the line to win this election. The least I could do is get back to work quickly.”
