Tenancingo, Mexico, is the epicenter of sex slavery, where girls as young as 11 are sold into a nightmare of 20-hour rape sessions. This hellish trade thrives on the backs of vulnerable children, groomed by boys trained to become ruthless pimps.

Thousands of teenage girls are lured by false promises of a better life in luxurious mansions, only to be trapped in a cycle of daily rapes by multiple men. Once they are deemed useless by the merciless gangs, many simply vanish, with some being killed for becoming pregnant.

A survivor, known as Sophia (not her real name), recounted her harrowing experience after meeting her captor at just 14 years old. She was showered with affection by a 17-year-old boy named Jose in a local park, unaware that he had sinister plans for her.

Growing up in extreme poverty and neglect, Sophia fell for Jose's lies of a new life. He groomed her in Mexico City before transporting her to Tenancingo, an impoverished town in Tlaxcala. Confused and scared, she didn’t question her surroundings, fearing it would ruin her dreams.

Jose introduced her to his family, who deceptively offered her a place to stay in exchange for farm work. Sophia believed she had escaped her abusive past, but the reality was far more sinister; pimps controlled the area where she was now trapped.

Jose then promised her a new life in the United States. After several deportations, they finally reached Queens, New York, where the truth hit hard: Jose was a pimp, and she was now a sex slave.

“You’re undocumented here; this is all you can do. This is all you have. You love me. You would do anything for me,” he told her, sealing her fate.

Desperate for freedom, Sophia attempted to escape multiple times but faced brutal punishments when caught. Jose broke her jaw to teach her a lesson about disobedience.

Another captor threatened to kill her and her family back home, who remained oblivious to her plight across the border. “I couldn’t comprehend what was going on. I had no other options but to live like this,” she said.

The physical scars from the abuse still haunt her. “I was just a child. I was forced into sex trafficking,” she lamented.

Sophia's story is tragically common in Tenancingo, where thousands of women are sold into the brutal world of sex slavery. Karla Jancito Romero, 32, is another survivor who endured thousands of rapes before turning 16.

Groomed at just 12 years old, Karla was vulnerable and searching for love when she met Oscar, whom she initially saw as her “prince charming.”

Her dream of escaping a sexually abusive family quickly morphed into a nightmare as Oscar turned out to be a pimp who moved her to Puebla near Mexico City, where daily abuse became her reality. “Some men would laugh at me,” she recalled.
