Kayla Rae Reid Celebrates Divorce from Ryan Lochte, Declares Herself ‘Finally Free’

Kayla Rae Reid is officially divorced from Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, celebrating the end of their marriage more than a year after their separation.

“As of July 1st 2026, 9:59 am, I am officially divorced. 🙌🏼,” the model declared on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself in a striking yellow dress.

Reid also shared an image of the iconic Nicole Kidman “divorce photo,” where the actress is seen joyfully raising her arms post-split from Tom Cruise in 2001.

While rumors suggested that Kidman’s photo was snapped outside her attorney's office, she clarified in a 2024 interview that it was taken on a movie set and “wasn’t real life.”

Fans flooded Reid with congratulations, with one asking, “When’s the divorce party!??”

“OUR FREE WOMAN. the best is yet to come! ❤️,” another supporter commented.

“She’s baaaaaaaackkkkkkkk,” a third chimed in.

Page Six confirmed that Lochte, 41, and Reid finalized their divorce over a year after Reid announced their split in March 2025.

“I made the hard decision to end my marriage after deep prayer and reflection,” Reid expressed on Instagram last June.

“I hold marriage in the highest regard, so this has been one of the most painful, revealing, and challenging seasons of my life,” she added.

Lochte expressed gratitude for their shared life and love for their three children.

The couple married in a private ceremony in 2018 at their Florida estate. They have three children: Caiden Zane, 9; Liv Rae, 6; and Georgia June, 2.

The divorce turned contentious as Reid accused Lochte of cheating with his now-fiancé, Molly Gillihan, “for many years” during a March episode of “The Comeback Era” podcast.
