Kid Rock Brags About Late-Night Calls to Trump While Drunk

Jul 02 2026

Kid Rock, the country singer and MAGA loyalist, openly admits to dialing Donald Trump late at night while under the influence, claiming the president “always picks up.”

The 55-year-old has a history of attending Trump administration events and frequent visits to the White House. In a recent interview with Sky News host Paul Murray, he spilled more details about his late-night antics with the Commander-in-Chief.

When asked if he receives random texts from Trump, Kid Rock confirmed he does. He described calling Trump as "one of my late-night drinking tricks, because I know when to get him.”

“He's so gracious, he always picks up, or he'll call and check in just to shoot the s***," Kid Rock said. He clarified that Trump doesn’t call him for serious matters like foreign policy. “But, if I’m sitting around having some beers, if it's like 11, 12, on a Friday or Saturday, I know he's up. He sleeps like me, he sleeps five hours,” he added.

Kid Rock characterized his relationship with Trump as “f****** awesome,” expressing enjoyment in their conversations and the spectacle of being part of “the greatest s*** show on earth.”

The interview also delved into Trump’s financial disclosures, revealing he raked in at least $2.2 billion last year, with over $1 billion stemming from cryptocurrency ventures.

This financial windfall sparked outrage, with critics alleging that Trump and his family profited from his presidency—claims they have denied.

When confronted about concerns regarding Trump’s wealth accumulation, Kid Rock responded bluntly: “No s***, cause he's a f****** businessman, he’s smart.”

He defended Trump’s business acumen, stating, “He did that before he was President, and I know his heart and soul. His concern is for this country, period. This country first and I think every leader in any country should be that for their country.”

Trump has countered the backlash by asserting that his profits are a result of a rising stock market and that he “made a lot of money” prior to his presidency.

“I don’t get involved in my personal. We have funds that run my money… And they invest my money, and I don’t talk to them, I don’t even speak to them,” he explained.

“So, I have many people, I don’t know what they call them, closed accounts or something, you put your money in and that’s it. I don’t talk to them. They’re big institutions, and they run it.”
