Lauren Burnham Slams Alex Cooper for 'Sexualizing' Her Baby: 'They Went Too Far'

May 02 2026

“They took it too far!” Lauren Burnham Luyendyk is not holding back as she confronts Alex Cooper over some seriously disturbing comments made on the infamous Call Her Daddy podcast. The Bachelor alum, 34, unleashed her fury in a TikTok video that’s got everyone talking.

Flashback to 2019, when Burnham and her husband, Arie Luyendyk Jr., welcomed their first child, Alessi Ren. That’s when Cooper, 31, and her then-co-host Sofia Franklyn thought it would be hilarious to mock the unborn baby. “They had this ongoing segment where they were sexualizing our child and talking very inappropriately and disgustingly about her,” Burnham revealed. “I won’t get into specifics, but if you want to know, do your own research.”

Burnham didn’t just brush this off. “This was ongoing for a very long time,” she said, hinting at the possibility of legal action against Barstool Sports, the former distributor of Call Her Daddy. “I wanted to hire a lawyer to go after them.” But in the end, they decided to let it slide, hoping it would blow over. Spoiler alert: it didn’t.

“She just kept going on forever,” Burnham lamented. “Now that it’s resurfacing again, it still makes me so furious.” The mom of four expressed her hope that the current drama surrounding Cooper would make her rethink her desperate need for attention. “It’s not okay,” she concluded.

Burnham first aired her grievances on The Unplanned Podcast in 2023, where she and Luyendyk explained how they turned their baby’s social media captions into a weekly segment on Call Her Daddy. “They were classless,” she said, recalling how the hosts made “really inappropriate” comments about their baby. “If the listeners were parents, they’d be disturbed by a baby being mentioned next to sentiments like that.”

Arie advised against taking action, saying he didn’t want to draw more attention to the situation. But Burnham was ready to fight back. “They should be in big trouble for doing that. It’s not okay,” she reiterated.

In a particularly cringeworthy 2019 clip, Franklyn impersonated “Baby Alessi” in a high-pitched voice while reading the parents’ posts. Cooper chimed in with a jaw-dropping comment: “Baby Alessi has been a little on the brink of prostitution lately.” Yes, you read that right—she went there.

The podcasters didn’t stop there; they accused Burnham and Luyendyk of being “the greediest couple in Bachelor history” and even claimed they were “child abusing this poor baby.” Talk about crossing the line!

Meanwhile, Cooper is embroiled in her own drama with influencer Alix Earle, and Burnham has made it clear whose side she’s on. In an Instagram Story, she declared herself “Team @alixearle all the way,” adding fuel to the fire of this high-profile feud.

Burnham and Luyendyk, who got engaged during The Bachelor’s After the Final Rose in 2018, celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary this January. They’re busy raising their four kids: Alessi, Livvy Rowe (6 months), and 4-year-old twins Senna and Lux.
