MAGA Erupts Over Trudeau's Absurd Cameo in Katy Perry's Latest Video: 'Total Embarrassment'

MAGA influencers exploded with outrage after Katy Perry dropped a promotional clip for her single, “Watch It Burn,” featuring former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, her boyfriend and a long-time adversary of President Donald Trump.

Perry shared the clip on TikTok, claiming, “Ancient texts say that if you hop to this song you will get 1,000 years of good luck.” Trudeau made a brief appearance, hopping in the background, but the backlash from right-wing commentators was immediate and intense.

“What are you doing, bro?” Griff Jenkins, co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend,” exclaimed during Saturday’s show. “Literally, a 54-year-old grown man dancing in [a clip with his] girlfriend Katy Perry ... remember he divorced his wife after leaving the prime minister’s office.”

Jenkins added, “I don’t know what to say about this other than, ‘That is weird.’” Trudeau has previously drawn ire from MAGA supporters due to his contentious relationship with Trump, who has labeled Canada as a potential 51st U.S. state and called Trudeau “weak” and “dishonest” in 2018, later dubbing him “two-faced” at a NATO summit in 2019.

“It was not on my bingo card for Fidel Castro’s grandson,” remarked Rachel Campos-Duffy, co-host of “Fox & Friends” and wife of Trump loyalist Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, promoting a conspiracy theory that Trudeau is related to Cuba’s former leader.

Despite Trudeau's declining popularity in Canada during his final term, culminating in his resignation in 2025 after plummeting approval ratings, the uproar over his cameo seemed disproportionate given its brevity: he hopped across the screen for just three seconds in the 15-second promo.

“Former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau is jumping around like a clown with Katy Perry. These leaders are so feminine…,” one self-identified “Truth Seeker” posted on X, while another user remarked: “Katy Perry is dressed like a 16-year-old and Trudeau looks like a stalker.”

Dr. Jebra Faushay, author of “UNWOKE: An Unfiltered Escape from the Cult of Wokeness,” unleashed her criticism with even harsher words, stating Friday, “Katy Perry is dressed like a giant toddler while Justin Trudeau bops around like a retard. Pure cringe.”
