MAGA Host Blames Left for Algae Infestation in Trump’s Reflecting Pool

Grant Stinchfield, a MAGA-aligned television host, claims the left has "sabotaged" Donald Trump’s newly renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

The Reflecting Pool, a landmark in Washington, D.C., underwent renovations costing American taxpayers $14.2 million—$12.5 million over budget. This high-profile project aimed to fix leaks and change the pool's color to "American Flag blue." However, just days after completion, algae began to grow on the pool's base.

US Department of the Interior spokesperson Katie Martin attributed the algae bloom to "residual algae" from the supply lines. Stinchfield, however, insists that the left is responsible for this issue.

Filming himself at the green-tinged Reflecting Pool, Stinchfield declared, "Ah man, take a look at this... There’s algae in here again. I feel like it’s sabotage," as laughter echoed in the background.

He shared his theory with onlookers, one of whom remarked, "That wouldn’t shock me either," while another added, "Something happened here."

Stinchfield expressed frustration over the situation, stating, "I mean, they had just literally fixed this... They’re pumping something into this. I don’t know if it’s air or what. And what a shame because in the end, after all the work that was done, after as proud as I was of President Trump for finally getting this thing fixed, we’re back to green."

He speculated whether the algae growth was "nefarious," asserting that "you wouldn’t have so much algae as you see in here... unless somebody did something."

"I think they want Trump to fail so badly that they’ll come out here and do anything," he continued. "What a freaking shame."
