‘Maniac’ knifeman ‘slaughters two crew members’ in shocking TV set rampage
A violent scene erupted on a film set in Bogotá, Colombia, where a knifeman reportedly killed two crew members during a shoot for a popular television series.
The assailant, identified as Josué Cubillos García, allegedly unleashed a brutal attack on the production team filming Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso. This incident occurred on Saturday, April 18, in the Santa Fe district.
Witnesses described the chaos as the 24-year-old approached the crew on a public road, launching an unprovoked stabbing spree that left two individuals dead.

In the aftermath, police confirmed that the attacker was also killed after being confronted by both production staff and bystanders. The victims were identified as 45-year-old Henry Alberto Benavides Cárdenas, a veteran crew member, and 18-year-old Nicolás Francisco Perdomo Corrales, who was reportedly trying to assist his colleague when he was attacked.
Tragically, a third individual remains hospitalized in critical condition following the assault.
Police Commander General Giovanni Cristancho revealed that the suspect had a history of psychotic disorders exacerbated by substance abuse. Authorities have dismissed robbery as a motive, labeling the incident as an act of “intolerance” and “random violence.”

Chilling footage from security cameras has surfaced online, capturing the moment of the attack. In light of this tragedy, TIS Studios announced that all filming activities have been suspended indefinitely.
Stars from the series, including Carmen Villalobos and Gregorio Pernía, have expressed their condolences on social media. The Colombian television industry is now grappling with the aftermath of this horrific event, prompting discussions about enhancing security measures at filming locations throughout the city.
