Mel B Reveals 'Chilling' Bedroom Secrets with New Hubby Amid Sweaty Nights

May 07 2026

Mel B is spilling the tea on her steamy nights with new hubby Rory McPhee, and it’s not what you think. The Spice Girls legend, now 50, recently shared her struggles with "hot sweats" that have turned bedtime into a sweaty battleground.

At London’s Ce La Vie rooftop bar, where she was unveiled as the global ambassador for Revive Collagen, Mel laid it all bare. “I often sit in meetings wondering if everyone else is feeling as hot as I am,” she confessed, revealing the anxiety that almost sent her running to the doctor.

But it’s not just the daytime heat that’s got her sweating. Mel’s nighttime routine has taken a hit, leaving her drenched while Rory, 37, shivers beside her. To combat this, they splurged on an Eight Sleep mattress—yes, a £3,000 investment that lets them control their side of the bed’s temperature. Talk about a modern love story!

“We do have the Eight pod because I like a freezing bedroom and I was getting hot sweats at night,” she explained. “My side of the bed is really cold. The mattress controls the temperature and wakes you up gently. It’s genius. Rory likes everything really hot; he’s a bit of a softie. I’ve always been like that. I always like a window open even in winter but I needed it even colder.”

In a cheeky twist, Mel dubbed menopause the “Mel-opause,” reassuring women everywhere that they’re not alone in this journey. “A billion women go through menopause worldwide every single year. It can happen at 35, it can happen at 50 and it can happen for 10 years, so what you are going through can be quite scary,” she said, breaking down the stigma surrounding this natural phase of life.

Despite the flood of “misinformation,” Mel is thrilled to see more open discussions about menopause. Just days ago, she surprised fans with a rare performance of “Spice Up Your Life” alongside former bandmate Melanie C, igniting nostalgia and excitement among the crowd.

As fans sang along to the iconic 90s anthem, one social media user captured the moment: “What is happening?!?” Mel C paused to soak in the atmosphere, saying, “I have to stop because this is such a special moment.” Mel B chimed in, “Don’t make me cry.”

“We haven’t done this since 2019, girlfriend,” Mel C reminded the audience, referencing their last tour with fellow Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell-Horner. The energy was electric, proving that even amidst personal challenges, Mel B knows how to keep the spotlight shining bright.
