Melania Trump reportedly 'barely speaks' to Donald Trump, with their marriage spiraling into a state of disarray.
Married since 2005, the couple has endured numerous challenges. Michael Wolff's book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, reveals they sleep in separate rooms at the White House, with Donald allegedly requesting a key to lock his door.

Their relationship has always been under scrutiny, starting from their first meeting when Donald was on a date with another woman. Now, Wolff claims the couple "barely speak," following observations from a body language expert who noted their apparent tension during the 2026 World Cup final.
Wolff's Substack post states, "Everybody in the White House is afraid of Melania Trump and her power — that is, if she chooses to use it." He suggests that while staff believe she won't overtly threaten the status quo, uncertainty looms.

He further asserts that their relationship is at its lowest point since the Stormy Daniels trial, which saw Donald convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in May 2024.
Prosecutors accused the now-80-year-old of orchestrating a scheme to enhance his chances in the 2016 presidential election through hush money payments and falsified records. Among those receiving payments was adult film star Stormy Daniels, linked to an alleged sexual encounter with Donald.

Wolff emphasizes the disconnect, stating, "There is hardly even the pretense that she lives in the White House." The Trump family maintains residences in both New York's Trump Tower and the White House.
In response to Wolff's allegations, White House spokesman Davis Ingle dismissed him as "a lying piece of s--t." The White House has not provided further comment.

These claims surfaced after Melania and Donald attended the World Cup final together on July 19. Donald faced backlash for his behavior during the event, where he interrupted Spain's celebration.
Spain triumphed over Argentina in extra time for their second World Cup title. Donald joined FIFA president Gianni Infantino in presenting medals to players. However, he remained on stage as Spain prepared to lift the trophy, an unusual move since only the winning team typically stays.
Spanish captain Rodri appeared to nudge Donald aside so his team could celebrate properly. Initially positioned next to Gavi, Donald gradually shifted across the stage until Rodri placed a hand on his back, seemingly urging him along to allow the celebration to commence.
