Model Goes Viral for Looking Like Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and 'Love Story' Actress Sarah Pidgeon
A striking resemblance has turned heads and sparked conversations online.
Annabel Ludwig, a German model, has gained significant attention for her uncanny likeness to Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, the late wife of John F. Kennedy Jr., and Sarah Pidgeon, who portrays her in the recent series "Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette."
Since the show's debut last month, Ludwig, 29, has been inundated with comments about her looks, particularly during Paris Fashion Week from March 2 to 10, where the buzz intensified.
“It’s mostly women who approach me,” she shared during a Zoom call, wearing a white tank top reminiscent of Pidgeon’s attire in a memorable scene with Paul Anthony Kelly, who plays JFK Jr.
“I was surrounded by Italians speaking their language, but I could catch snippets about JFK Jr. I thought to myself, ‘I know exactly what they’re saying,’” she added with a laugh.
Her sister, Vanessa, also a model, contributed to the viral moment by posting a video of Annabel one evening with the caption, “My sister literally looks like a mix of Sarah Pidgeon and Carolyn Bessette,” unaware it would capture widespread attention.
“I always encourage her to showcase herself more on social media because she’s such an incredible person inside and out, with a fantastic fashion sense,” Vanessa, 31, explained. “So I thought, ‘If she won’t do it, I will.’”
The Instagram post quickly went viral, amassing over 1 million views as the sisters enjoyed reading the myriad of comments.
“It’s amusing because you have people saying, ‘A hundred percent Carolyn, a hundred percent Sarah,’ while others insist, ‘I don’t see it at all,’” Annabel remarked.
Despite the comparisons, Ludwig has yet to date anyone resembling JFK Jr. and doesn’t foresee that changing anytime soon.
“Nope, not at all. I haven’t really encountered many JFK Jrs. in my life,” she stated candidly.
Some hopeful suitors have taken to social media, claiming they resemble America’s Prince and offering to be her JFK. “But I can assure you, they don’t look like JFK Jr., unfortunately,” Annabel concluded with a hint of humor.
