In January, it was revealed that Kate, born Harlow Winter Kate Richie Madden, has opted to go by her middle name. Nicole clarified this detail to People after her birthday post led to some online confusion. “She goes by her middle name. She has her whole life,” she stated.

While Kate was rarely seen during her childhood, the newly 18-year-old has been making more public appearances lately. In April, she showcased her Coachella experience on Instagram, starting with a photo of herself in a cropped white tank top, black headscarf, and jeans amidst the festival crowd.

Just last month, Kate joined her mother at the “Stop! That! Train!” red carpet premiere for some quality mother-daughter time.
