NJ Dad Goes Viral for Racially Charged Meltdown Over Kids' Bullying

May 22 2026

A New Jersey dad is in hot water after a wild confrontation over his kids’ bullying antics turned into a racially charged spectacle that’s now gone viral.

Meet Thomas Diiorio, 40, who was arrested for allegedly hurling racial slurs at his neighbor, Lakisha Spruill, during a heated exchange at their upscale Mount Laurel apartment complex. The incident unfolded around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, and it didn’t take long for the drama to hit social media like wildfire.

Witnesses reported Diiorio screaming “you people” at Spruill, making it clear he was targeting her race. Court documents reveal that he explicitly stated he had no issues with white people, which only added fuel to the fire.

“Get the f—k out of here!” Diiorio was caught on video shouting, as he got up close and personal with Spruill in the parking lot. Dressed in a casual T-shirt and gym shorts, he didn’t hold back as he demanded she “get in your car,” while she pleaded for someone to call the cops.

The explosive video has racked up over 1.5 million views since it hit the internet early Tuesday, showcasing the raw tension between the two parents.

Mount Laurel police responded to the scene after receiving reports of a dispute stemming from a “prior juvenile incident.” Both Diiorio and Spruill accused each other of misconduct, but neither wanted to press charges initially.

Spruill claimed Diiorio unleashed a barrage of racial slurs, including calling her a “black bitch,” while also alleging that his children bullied her daughter by calling her an “ugly African.”

In response to the allegations, Diiorio took to Facebook to defend himself, insisting that race had nothing to do with the argument. “Had nothing to do with the color of this woman’s skin,” he wrote, attempting to downplay the racial undertones of the confrontation.

However, the police weren’t buying it. After reviewing video evidence submitted on May 20, 2026, they arrested Diiorio on Wednesday. He appeared in Burlington County Superior Court on Thursday and was released but ordered to stay away from Spruill.

Diiorio is set to return to court on July 15, as the fallout from this explosive incident continues. Mount Laurel Mayor Stephen Steglik didn’t hold back either, praising law enforcement for their swift action. “If you’re going to be a vile, hate-filled lunatic, do it somewhere else – not in Mount Laurel!” he declared on Facebook.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of how quickly tensions can escalate in suburban America, especially when it comes to our kids and their playground politics.
