Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wild Romance: From Casual Flings to Wedding Plans
Travis Kelce, 36, made his move on Taylor Swift, also 36, by slipping her his phone number on a friendship bracelet during her Eras Tour in July 2023.

Kelce claimed Swift “didn’t want to meet,” citing her need to save her voice for the 44 songs she performs. He took it personally, revealing this on his “New Heights” podcast.
By September 2023, sources reported that the pair had been “quietly hanging out,” but Kelce had a “no-strings-attached” mentality in those early months.

Insiders confirmed he wasn’t looking for anything serious and was dating other people before they went public.

One insider noted that Kelce viewed the friendship bracelet gesture as a “joke” and didn’t expect it to lead anywhere.
In the beginning, he was slow to respond to Swift’s texts. A source clarified he wasn’t avoiding her but wasn’t pursuing her heavily either. “He’s a football player!”

Another source emphasized that once you enter Swift’s world, things get serious fast. Kelce and Swift didn’t become “exclusive” until September 2023.
The couple got engaged in August 2025 after two years of dating.

They plan to tie the knot over the July 4 weekend, with a rehearsal dinner set for Madison Square Garden on July 2.

About 100 close family and friends will attend the rehearsal dinner.
The following day, they will host between 1,000 and 2,000 guests at the venue.

Celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed is coordinating the event, having worked with the couple for months.
Initially, their wedding was slated for June 13 at Ocean House in Watch Hill, where Swift owns an estate. Reports suggest Swift was so determined to marry on that date that she paid off another bride-to-be who had booked the venue.

Ultimately, they opted for a different location to accommodate more guests.

A-listers expected to attend include Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Zoë Kravitz, Suki Waterhouse, Karlie Kloss, the Haim sisters, and Gigi Hadid.
Swift reportedly invited guests over the phone and implemented a strict non-disclosure agreement for attendees.

As their wedding date approaches, both Swift and Kelce were seen out with friends. On June 17, Kelce was photographed entering Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles with brother Jason Kelce and comedian Druski.
A woman resembling Swift was spotted on the balcony of her Rhode Island mansion, dressed in white and surrounded by friends in black.
