Trump Claims He Ended War with 15 Million Decapitations, Exaggerates Peace Efforts
President Trump has made a jaw-dropping assertion about ending a war where 15 million people allegedly had their “heads chopped off,” showcasing yet another inflated claim regarding his supposed peace-making abilities.
This outrageous statement emerged during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One following his attendance at a NATO summit in Turkey, coinciding with the U.S. resuming strikes on Iran.
“Think of the wars I settled,” Trump declared, referencing Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado gifting him her Nobel Peace Prize. “Eight. Wars that were going on for 30 years.”
He specifically cited the conflict between the Congo and Rwanda, claiming, “I settled it after 14 years, and about 15 million people had their heads chopped off. I settled that one.” No evidence was provided to substantiate this staggering claim.
In 2025, both nations did sign an agreement in Washington D.C. to cease hostilities, following the resurgence of the March 23 Movement in 2022.
That same year, Trump remarked, “They’ve spent a lot of time killing each other, and now they’re going to spend a lot of time hugging.”
While addressing reporters on Air Force One, he reiterated his belief that he should have received a Nobel Peace Prize.
The commander-in-chief began his defense after a reporter inquired about an article suggesting Machado’s plane had abruptly turned around while returning from the U.S. to Venezuela.
“Oh no. No, no, not at all,” Trump responded when asked if he ordered Machado’s plane to be turned around.
He praised Machado as “wonderful” and “terrific,” before questioning whether she successfully returned to Venezuela.
Shortly thereafter, he recounted how Machado presented her Nobel Peace Prize to him in January, just under two weeks after U.S. forces captured former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and brought him to the United States.
According to Trump, Machado expressed disbelief at winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
“The only one that should win it is Trump,” he claimed, supposedly quoting Machado.
Trump insisted he deserved the award because “nobody’s settled wars.”
He also suggested that his ability to resolve conflicts stemmed from his “certain type of personality.”
