Trump Ditches Lara for Kash Patel’s Girlfriend at Freedom 250
Donald Trump is under fire for sidelining Lara Trump, opting instead for Alexis Wilkins, the girlfriend of Kash Patel, to headline the Freedom 250 event.
The president, 80, scrambles for talent after a mass exodus of performers from his Great American State Fair. Acts like Martina McBride and Bret Michaels dropped out, citing misrepresentation and security issues.

Despite Lara teasing her musical aspirations with her own songs, Trump has confirmed Wilkins, a 27-year-old country singer, as the new headliner. This decision raises eyebrows about whether he’s snubbing his daughter-in-law.
Wilkins’ signing comes after Trump’s concert series fell apart. The only remaining original acts are Flo Rida and Vanilla Ice, scheduled to perform on June 26 and July 2.

Critics are questioning the choice. “Snubbing the song stylings of Lara Trump will create some backlash. Why isn’t she the headliner?” one user asked on X.
Another user simply stated, “Lara Trump?” while others mocked Wilkins’ selection as a last-minute choice over Lara.

“So she’s okay with being what, 4th, 5th, 17th pick? Didn’t Lara get chosen over her? Like…wow,” one comment read. Another lamented, “Pathetic that a Prez can’t get star-studded performers at any of his d--n events!”
Speculation continues that Lara might still be added to the lineup. “Lara Trump is gonna be announced, just wait and see,” one user predicted.

Lara has released five tracks available on Spotify, including a cover of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down” and collaborations with artists like Mohamed Ramadan and Madeline Jaymes.
In addition to Flo Rida and Vanilla Ice, Lee Greenwood is also set to perform at Freedom 250. C+C Music Factory’s participation remains uncertain after conflicting statements from band members.
