Trump Loses It: Calls Reporter 'Dumb Person' Live on Air
“You dumb person!” Donald Trump exploded at a female reporter during a live press conference on the White House lawn, and the internet is buzzing.
It all went down when MS NOW's Akayla Gardner dared to question the President about the expansion of the White House ballroom. Trump, boasting about having “doubled the size” of the project, lost his cool when Gardner suggested that doubling the size might also mean doubling the costs. His response? A tirade that left viewers stunned.
“I doubled the size of it, you dumb person. Double the size! You are not a smart person,” he raged, gesturing emphatically. “Based on a lot of things that have happened over the last year, we doubled the size of the ballroom. It’s ahead of schedule and a little bit under budget, depending on the finishes we do.”

Political podcaster Steve Harness didn’t hold back in his critique of Trump’s outburst. “How many lies did he just cram in there?” he fumed on air. “Under budget? I had to double it? No choice, sorry America!”
Harness continued, “When is a reporter going to snap back and say, ‘Don’t you f------ talk to me that way! I’m a goddamned adult. You work for us, a--. We’re the ones who elected you; you’re being paid by us. Go f*** yourself!’”
Social media erupted in response to the incident, with many users calling for male journalists to step up and defend their female colleagues when Trump targets them. One user tweeted, “When will men stand up for women?”

Another chimed in, “No reporter has ever spoken to a president the way you’re suggesting. But that’s mostly because no reporter has ever had to.”
Yet another pointed out the harsh reality: “They’re making a living just like you and me. They have mortgages and families. They can’t just tell the president to f--- off and keep their jobs.”
Meanwhile, Trump was in China on a state visit this week, while Melania Trump stayed back in the U.S. The First Lady was notably absent from Air Force One as Trump headed to Beijing to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The trip marks the first time a U.S. president has met with Xi since Trump’s last visit in 2017, where Melania was by his side, leaving a lasting impression on the Chinese populace.
As Trump seeks to negotiate political deals, including purchasing more American food and aircraft, this latest outburst raises questions about his temperament and approach to media interactions. Will reporters finally push back against his aggressive tactics? Only time will tell.
