Despite these fears, Trump insists he is mentally fit. Following an annual physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, he claimed to have "aced" three cognitive tests and stated that doctors described his physical health as superb.

Medical scares have been frequent during Trump's second term. He and his team consistently refute reports suggesting that both his mental and physical health are deteriorating.

The bandage on Trump's left hand was spotted shortly after he announced that Vice President JD Vance would oversee a deal-signing between the U.S. and Iran this weekend.
