Trump Sets Deadline for Iran, Threatens to Unleash 'Hell'
President Donald Trump has issued a firm ultimatum to Iran, demanding action before a self-imposed deadline that he claims will lead to catastrophic consequences. In a post on Truth Social, Trump warned that if Iran does not comply, the U.S. would unleash “hell.”
This provocative statement came on Easter Sunday, shortly after announcing the successful rescue of a U.S. fighter pilot. “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” he declared, adding an expletive-laden warning to “Open the F***in’ Strait, you crazy b*****ds, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”
Hours later, he reiterated the deadline: “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!” This was not just a social media post; Trump conveyed the same message to reporters who sought clarification on his shifting timelines. He ominously suggested that failure to reach an agreement could result in him “blowing up the whole country.”
“If they don’t do something by Tuesday evening, they won’t have any power plants and they won’t have any bridges standing,” Trump told the Wall Street Journal. This threat follows previous warnings made during the weekend of March 20 and 21, where he indicated he would “obliterate” Iran’s power infrastructure unless they lifted their blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial passage for global oil transport.

On March 23, Trump had extended the deadline after claiming “very good and productive conversations” with Iranian officials, a statement that was quickly dismissed by the Iranian regime. Political correspondent Rachel Scott recounted her conversation with Trump, where she inquired about the possibility of extending the Tuesday deadline. “I don't want to talk about it; they have plenty of time to make a deal,” he reportedly responded. “If they don't want to make a deal — their whole country is gone.”
Scott also pressed him on whether the conflict would conclude within two to three weeks, as he had previously suggested. “It should be days, not weeks,” Trump asserted. “No sane group of people could stand the punishment that's going to rain down on them if it's not.”
In his communications, Trump has hinted at targeting Iranian civilian infrastructure, raising concerns about potential violations of international law. When asked about the implications for Iranian civilians, he claimed that they “want us to do it,” suggesting that they are already “living in hell.”
Trump's narrative continues to assert that the war is effectively won and that Iran's military capabilities have been severely diminished. “Never in the history of warfare has an enemy suffered such clear and devastating, large-scale losses in a matter of weeks,” he stated during a recent address, proclaiming that the U.S. is “winning and now winning bigger than ever before.”

As tensions escalate, the world watches closely to see how Iran will respond to Trump's ultimatum and what actions may follow if the deadline passes without resolution.
