Trump Shares AI Image of Jesus Embracing Him Amid Controversy
President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social account Wednesday morning, sharing an AI-generated image of Jesus with his arm around him, just days after facing significant backlash for another post where he depicted himself as the Messiah.
The image, originally shared on X by a supporter, shows Jesus with one hand on Trump’s chest and the other around his shoulder, both figures leaning against each other with closed eyes, set against a backdrop of light and an American flag.
“The Radical Left Lunatics might not like this, but I think it is quite nice!!! President DJT,” Trump captioned the post, seemingly unfazed by the previous uproar.
On Sunday, he had posted an AI image portraying himself in flowing robes, healing a sick man with beams of light emanating from his hands. This earlier depiction included patriotic symbols like the Statue of Liberty and eagles, igniting outrage across various communities.
Critics from all sides condemned the post. Former Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed her disapproval, stating she was “praying against it,” while Vermont Independent Bernie Sanders labeled it “deranged” and indicative of “egomaniacal behavior.”

Christian activist Sean Feucht demanded the image be removed immediately, asserting that “there’s no context where this is acceptable.”
MAGA influencer Riley Gaines questioned Trump’s motives on X, asking, “Why? Seriously, I cannot understand why he’d post this. Is he looking for a response? Does he actually think this?” She emphasized that “a little humanity would serve him well.”
Faith-based media also weighed in. David Brody from the Christian Broadcasting Network remarked, “This goes too far. It crosses the line,” suggesting that supporters could back Trump’s mission while rejecting such imagery.
Megan Basham, a conservative commentator, expressed disbelief at the post's intent, questioning whether Trump was joking or under some influence. She called for immediate removal and an apology to both the American people and God.
By Monday morning, the controversial image had vanished from Trump’s feed. Speaking to reporters outside the White House later, he defended the post, claiming it was meant to portray him as a doctor helping others. “You know, as a little fun playing the doctor and making people better,” he explained.

Trump attributed the decision to delete the image to a desire to avoid confusion and blamed “fake news” for amplifying the controversy.
In a recent interview, Trump claimed to be the only force preventing global chaos. “If I weren’t president, the world would be torn to pieces,” he told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl.
As his administration grapples with negotiating a peace deal with Iran during a two-week ceasefire announced last week—following threats to obliterate “a whole civilization”—Trump suggested that significant developments could be on the horizon despite initial talks failing over the weekend.
“I think you’re going to be watching an amazing two days ahead,” he stated confidently.
The ongoing conflict in Iran, which began with U.S. and Israeli military actions in February, has resulted in widespread violence across the Middle East. Reports indicate over 3,000 fatalities in Iran alone and millions displaced throughout the region. The Pentagon has confirmed that thirteen U.S. service members have died and hundreds more have been injured.

This war has severely impacted global economies as Iran has enforced blockades on the Strait of Hormuz—a crucial passage for approximately 20 percent of the world’s oil supply. Consequently, oil prices have surged to around $100 per barrel, pushing average U.S. gas prices to $4 a gallon.
