This weekend, fans face the gut-wrenching farewell of beloved shows while new seasons and characters storm onto screens.
The Bear, a series that has captured hearts and accolades, wraps its Emmy-winning saga with season 5. Will Carmy finally snag that elusive Michelin star he’s been chasing his entire career?
HBO welcomes back Larry David with Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, a historical sketch comedy that promises to deliver his signature blend of humor.
Netflix revives Avatar: The Last Airbender with season 2, while Oasis introduces a tantalizing mystery set in an exclusive resort, completely distinct from The White Lotus.
After four seasons of relentless food prep and family drama, The Bear reaches its conclusion. Season 4 faltered, showing signs of fatigue. Fans hope Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, and the rest can exit on a high note.
Season 5 must address the fate of Carmy. The chef abandoned the food business, leaving Sydney, Natalie, and Richie to carry on. Can they succeed where he faltered? Will he return to assist them? All eight episodes of season 5 are available for streaming now.
Curb Your Enthusiasm ended two years ago, but its absence is palpable. Larry David channels his anxieties into a half-hour format that thrives on improvisation. He quickly returns to HBO with Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, which feels like another season of Curb but set in America’s past.
Across seven episodes, David teams up with Curb veterans and Seinfeld collaborators to parody historical events like the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The result is a sketch comedy show that is often funny but struggles to reach the comedic heights of Curb.
It’s been two years since Avatar: The Last Airbender debuted on Netflix, erasing the stain of the disastrous 2010 film. The show returns with new adventures and allies, including Toph.
In season 2, Aang, Sokka, and Katara venture into the Earth Kingdom toward Ba Sing Se. They face new dangers and challenges along the way. Will Toph help them defeat Ozai and his Fire Nation army? Binge all eight episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 this weekend.
Dani isn’t your typical rich kid at the upscale Mexican resort Oasis Infinity. Drawn to the working-class staff, he finds himself particularly interested in Celia, the concierge. When she vanishes, police suspect Dani is involved. Determined to uncover the truth, he risks everything—his freedom and possibly his life.
Oasis blends elements of The White Lotus with Outer Banks. It critiques the wealthy while showcasing attractive characters embroiled in a mystery. The class warfare narrative echoes the Pogues’ conflict with the Kooks, but Oasis primarily serves as a backdrop for beautiful people solving mysteries in minimal clothing.
