Border Patrol Chief Bows Out Amid Scandalous Sex Worker Allegations
U.S. Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks threw in the towel on Thursday, declaring to Fox News, “It’s just time.”
His sudden exit, effective immediately, comes as whispers swirl about his alleged escapades abroad, where he reportedly sought out sex workers and boasted about it to colleagues, according to a bombshell report from a major outlet.
While Kristi Noem was at the helm of the Department of Homeland Security, an investigation into Banks’ alleged misconduct was abruptly shut down. Sources reveal that he made frequent trips to Colombia and Thailand, indulging in the services of sex workers.
“I can’t believe he was ever put in charge of the Border Patrol with his character,” one anonymous agent vented. “He’s exploiting vulnerable women in third-world countries, and it’s absolutely disgusting.”

Reports indicate that Banks’ behavior had been scrutinized in two separate investigations during his time at Customs and Border Protection: one before his retirement in 2023 and another in June 2025, which was closed without any public disclosure of findings.
“These allegations date back more than a decade and were reviewed years ago. The matter was closed,” a spokesperson stated. “CBP takes allegations regarding misconduct seriously. We cherish the public’s trust and work tirelessly to uphold the rule of law and hold ourselves accountable.”
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott confirmed Banks’ resignation in a statement to CNBC, thanking him for his decades of service. “We congratulate him on his second retirement after returning to serve during one of the most challenging periods for border security,” Scott added.
