Charles Barkley Ditches Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding, Calls It a ‘Crap Show’

Charles Barkley, at 63, made it clear he had no interest in attending the wedding of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, labeling the event a potential “crap show.”

On the podcast “Unfiltered With Ricky Bo & Bill Colarulo,” Barkley stated, “I don’t go to weddings and funerals.” He confirmed he received an invitation but chose to decline it.

“I did get an invite, and I politely declined. Because I thought it was gonna be a crap show,” he said bluntly.

Barkley expressed his fondness for both Travis and Jason Kelce but noted his limited interaction with Swift, having met her only once. “Hey, that’s just too much,” he remarked about the wedding.

Instead of dressing up for a wedding, Barkley prefers to spend his free time playing golf. “I don’t wanna dress up and all that other stuff,” he explained, while still appreciating the invitation as “pretty special.”

Barkley isn’t alone in skipping the nuptials. Ryan Seacrest also confirmed he would attend but ultimately didn’t show up. He revealed on his radio show that he had to cancel after Disney scheduled him for a Fourth of July special.

“I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the Fourth of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th,” Seacrest, 51, explained. He felt “kind of torn” but acknowledged he “couldn’t have done both” due to scheduling conflicts.

Seacrest expressed gratitude for the invitation but stated he “had no choice” but to miss the wedding because of his job obligations at Disney.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, tied the knot in front of over 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden last Friday. The ceremony was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler and featured a garden theme.
