Comedian Blasts Taylor Swift Fans for Racist Attacks After Wedding Joke

Jul 03 2026

Comedian Jay Jurden unleashed a storm after mocking the upcoming wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, accusing her fans of hurling racist slurs at him.

Jurden targeted the extravagant wedding planned for July 3 at Madison Square Garden, criticizing the event as tasteless. He noted that high-profile guests like Niall Horan and Bono were expected to attend, according to bookmakers.

After his remarks, Jurden claimed he was met with a barrage of racial insults from Swift's fanbase. This backlash coincided with a delay affecting wedding guests at a Nashville airport.

On July 2, Jurden took to X, stating, "Swifties calling me a n---er when that lady just invited 5 Black men she doesn’t know to her wedding because they won an NBA championship and she’s getting married at their sports arena." Knicks player Josh Hart denied any invitation.

He also shared screenshots of two commentators who viciously referred to him using derogatory terms.

On July 1, Jurden appeared to take aim at Swift without naming her directly, saying, "That Pennsylvania fake Tennessee lady could just go rent a real castle, but no, she had to be A TACKY AMERICAN."

The couple announced their engagement in August 2025 but has kept wedding details under wraps.

The choice of Madison Square Garden surprised fans, as earlier reports suggested Rhode Island was the preferred location for the nuptials. Swift previously owned a significant property in Rhode Island that seemed ideal for the celebration.

However, plans shifted in recent months. A source revealed in November that the couple was considering a different venue to accommodate more guests.

Save-the-dates were sent out to family and friends, with exclusive sources leaking the time and location of the ceremony.

The July 3 date is strategically close to Independence Day, a holiday that Swift reportedly cherishes.

Kelce and Swift will join a long list of celebrities who have tied the knot in New York City.

Despite her history of performing at Madison Square Garden, Swift is not expected to take the stage during her own wedding, as other entertainers are slated to perform.
