Dana White Gets Grilled Over Trump Friendship in Cringe-Worthy Breakfast Club Interview
“You’re failing the people!” Charlamagne Tha God didn’t hold back as he confronted UFC President Dana White about his buddy Donald Trump during a live segment on The Breakfast Club. What was supposed to be a casual chat about UFC Freedom 250 quickly spiraled into a political interrogation.
White, who’s been tight with Trump for over 25 years, found himself on the defensive as Charlamagne pushed him to denounce the former president amid plummeting approval ratings and economic turmoil. “Trump is a good friend of mine,” White insisted, but the tension in the studio was palpable.

“Why can’t you tell your friend he’s failing the people?” Charlamagne pressed, referencing Trump’s staggering 62% disapproval rating and public dissatisfaction with his handling of key issues like the economy and foreign policy. White, however, wasn’t biting. “I don’t know if I agree that he’s failing the people,” he shot back, attempting to sidestep the heat.
As the conversation heated up, Charlamagne didn’t let up. “Don’t be a glazer,” he warned White, coining a Gen Z term for those who blindly support their friends regardless of their failures. The UFC boss rejected the label, but the vibe shifted when co-host Loren Lorosa chimed in, suggesting that White’s relationship with Trump had swayed younger male voters politically. “Yeah, I’m okay with that,” White replied, seemingly unfazed.

Critics online were quick to slam Charlamagne for trying too hard to create a political “gotcha” moment during what was meant to be a promotional interview. But the pressure didn’t stop there; White eventually admitted to leaning more left than right politically, stating, “I consider myself right down the middle or leaning a little liberal.”
Despite his liberal leanings, White’s history with Trump is undeniable. He’s spoken at the Republican National Convention three times and praised Trump’s resilience on election night. “I’m in the tough guy business, and this man is the toughest, most resilient human being that I’ve ever met in my life,” he declared.
As the interview wrapped up, it was clear that White’s friendship with Trump remains a hot-button issue, one that he’s not ready to walk away from anytime soon.
