Dave Chappelle's Raunchy Roast of Travis Kelce's Bachelor Bash Before Swift Wedding

Jul 06 2026

Dave Chappelle expressed his disbelief that Travis Kelce opted for a comedian's show as part of his bachelor party, calling it a "w—eless bachelor party."

During a Zoom interview on CNN’s “Independence Eve Live,” Chappelle, 52, stated, “I was shocked. I had never seen anything like that.”

He quipped, “Whatever makes you happy, Travis,” showcasing his signature humor while poking fun at the unconventional choice.

Chappelle then turned his attention to the upcoming wedding of Kelce and Taylor Swift, lamenting his lack of an invitation to the star-studded event at Madison Square Garden. “I heard he was getting married at Madison Square Garden. You would think I could have got an invite, but I didn’t,” he said.

He added, “I didn’t make the 15,000 closest friends,” eliciting laughter from hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper.

Cohen, 58, chimed in with a joke of his own, saying, “It looks like the three of us are the only three people [who didn’t go].”

Last month, Kelce celebrated his bachelor party on the West Coast with his brother Jason and close friends. The festivities included attending one of Chappelle’s comedy shows, watching a NASCAR race at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, and hitting the Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles.

The three-time Super Bowl champion, 36, also partied at a Chris Lake concert in LA, where he made a memorable appearance on stage next to the DJ, 43, shooting a bubble gun into the crowd.

On July 3, Kelce and Swift, also 36, tied the knot in a ceremony officiated by comedian Adam Sandler in front of 1,000 guests.

According to a press release, Swift wore Christian Dior Haute Couture for the vows. Her brother, Austin Swift, served as her “Man of Honor,” while Kelce’s brother Jason took on the role of “Best Man.”

Sir Paul McCartney reportedly serenaded the newlyweds with the Beatles classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand.”
