Disorderly Disruption at Trump's Miami Golf Club Leads to Arrest
A man was arrested Saturday at Trump’s Doral National Golf Club near Miami after causing a scene, the U.S. Secret Service reported.
Trump wasn’t even on the premises when the chaos unfolded, according to the agency.
Michael Townsend, acting special agent in charge for Secret Service Miami, revealed that around 4:15 p.m., a man approached a restricted security area and became “disruptive,” ignoring lawful orders. Townsend stated, “He made physical contact with a member of the Secret Service and was taken into custody without further incident.”
The unidentified man was arrested by Doral Police and slapped with charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence.
“At no point did this situation impact the established security posture for the President's visit to Trump Doral National Golf Club by Secret Service,” Townsend assured.
This incident comes just a week after gunfire erupted during the White House Correspondents' Dinner in D.C., where Trump was whisked away from the stage. A Secret Service agent was struck but saved by a bulletproof vest. The shooter, Cole Tomas Allen, now faces charges for attempting to assassinate the president.
In a chilling parallel, back in 2024, Secret Service agents confronted a man allegedly aiming a rifle at then-candidate Trump at his Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach. Gunfire ensued before the suspect, Ryan Routh, was apprehended and later convicted of attempting to assassinate a presidential candidate, earning himself a life sentence.
