Trump's Late-Night Truth Social Binge: 26 Posts in One Night!

May 04 2026

President Donald Trump is no stranger to late-night rants, and April was no exception. The former commander-in-chief only managed to stay silent for five nights throughout the month on Truth Social, according to fresh reports.

With a penchant for posting after hours, Trump has bragged about thriving on less than eight hours of sleep, despite growing concerns over his health. An analysis reveals that over 80% of his nights in April were spent firing off messages on the platform, with a jaw-dropping one-third of his posts hitting the feed during the witching hours.

On April 24 alone, he unleashed a torrent of 18 posts between midnight and 2:45 a.m., as reported by the Daily Beast. But that wasn’t even his record; just a week earlier, on April 17, he kicked off a posting spree at 8:41 p.m. and didn’t stop until the early morning, racking up an astonishing 27 posts, including eight after 1 a.m.

Almost six hours later, he was back at it again by 7:09 a.m. The content of his posts ranged from threats aimed at Iran to digitally manipulated images of his perceived foes like Candace Owens, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, and Joe Biden.

In stark contrast to his social media activity in April 2018—when he posted 250 times on X (formerly Twitter)—this year saw him explode with 565 posts on Truth Social, averaging about 18 a day. A staggering 189 of those posts were made between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., meaning that 83% of nights featured at least one late-night message.

Among the more controversial posts was a now-deleted AI-generated image depicting Trump as Jesus, descending from the clouds to help a sick man in a hospital gown. This bizarre post went live at 2:49 a.m. on April 13, with Trump later claiming he thought he was being portrayed as a doctor. That night marked his fourth consecutive sleepless night.

In February 2025, Trump insisted he only needs about five hours of sleep per night, claiming he typically sleeps between midnight and 1 a.m. and rises around 6 a.m., which aligns perfectly with his nocturnal posting habits. Yet, there have been multiple instances during his second term where he appeared to doze off during significant public events.

One such moment occurred on April 23 when he seemed to nod off while addressing the cleaning of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool at the Oval Office. His head drooped forward, eyes shut tight, and mouth sagging—a concerning sight for anyone watching.
